There are 10 mountains in total so deciding which one to ride can be a tricky question – it’s like being confronted with a pizza menu that has so many good options that you can’t decide whether you take one loaded with meat or something with the lot. Some offer great steeps and awesome terrain but present a age old attitude of riding off piste. Other’s offer immense powder but are harder to access.
You know when Travis Rice froths on a run that it must be something special. This video was filmed out at Cortina Ski Resort at the northern most end of the Hakuba range. Known for it’s abundance of powder and awesome off-the-lift tree runs it really is a powder destination that must be experienced to be believed.
The attraction of snowboarding is the freedom it gives you. With a snowboard on your feet the sky is the limit. You can do anything and go anywhere. This is not just for pro riders. It is for everyone. The other amazing thing with snowboarding is how easy it is to get away from people and enjoy the solitude of the mountains. Its almost impossible in surfing but with snowboarding it is a short hike from the top of the lift or the side of the road.
